New Academic Expertise in SAAS Leadership: Dr. Anas Al-Fattal Appointed Vice President of the Society

The Syrian American Academic Society (SAAS) is pleased to welcome Dr. Anas Al-Fattal on the occasion of his appointment as Vice President of the Society. We wish him every success in his new role and look forward to his contributions to advancing the Society’s mission and developing its programs and initiatives.


Dr. Anas Al-Fattal is an Associate Professor with Tenure in Marketing at the University of Minnesota Crookston in the United States.
He began his academic career in Damascus and brings more than 20 years of academic and administrative experience, having worked at educational and academic institutions in Syria, Oman, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This experience has provided him with a broad international perspective in higher education, research, and academic development.

Dr. Al-Fattal holds a Ph.D. in Educational Marketing from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. His research interests include educational marketing, consumer behavior, entrepreneurship, cryptocurrencies, and the application of artificial intelligence in higher education and research.

He also engages in student and community-based research projects and contributes to curriculum development and the establishment of partnerships between universities and communities, with a particular interest in enhancing the impact of education and research and serving the community.

His appointment as Vice President reflects SAAS’s commitment to drawing on the distinguished academic and professional expertise of its members, strengthening institutional collaboration, and fostering cooperation among Syrian academics around the world.
