Moses Chbib is a biotechnology professional working in the advanced therapeutics sector, combining precise laboratory expertise with high-compliance clinical manufacturing. He contributes to the development and production of cell and gene therapies used in modern clinical applications, particularly in oncology and advanced therapeutic research.
Academic Background
Moses Chbib holds:
• A Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of the Potomac (USA)
• A Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Philadelphia Private University (Jordan)
His academic training represents a blend of life sciences and healthcare management, enabling a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic production pathways from laboratory research to clinical application.
Professional Experience
He currently holds a specialized research and manufacturing role as a:
Cell & Gene Therapy Specialist at the
Center for Cellular Engineering (CCE), National Institutes of Health (NIH)
The CCE is an integrated facility dedicated to developing and manufacturing a wide range of cell and gene therapies for early-phase clinical trials. It supports more than 50 active Investigational New Drug (IND) applications in collaboration with researchers and scientific institutions within a highly integrated research environment.
The center focuses on Phase I/II clinical trials, often involving first-in-human studies, placing this role at the forefront of experimental medical innovation.
In this capacity, Moses contributes to advanced manufacturing processes involving:
• CAR-T cells
• TCR-engineered T cells
• Cancer vaccines
• Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)
• iPSC-derived retinal cells
• Genetically modified hematopoietic stem cells
His work also includes previously developed technologies such as dendritic cells, NK cells, virus-specific T cells, mesenchymal stromal cells, and stem cell processing for transplantation.
Previously, he held several progressive roles in the same field, including:
Senior Manufacturing Associate – Cell & Gene Therapy
at Miltenyi Biotec (USA)
Where he worked in high-compliance clinical manufacturing environments for cell and gene therapies. His key responsibilities included:
• Certified trainer on CliniMACS Prodigy systems for compliant operations
• Supporting clinical-scale manufacturing processes
• Working under advanced laboratory quality and safety protocols
