  • Laila Al-Husaini – A Pioneer in Media and a Distinguished Academic Journey
  • Laila Al-Husaini is a Board Member of the Syrian Academics Association and an American journalist and media professional of Syrian origin. With over 20 years of experience in print and broadcast journalism, she has played a vital role in developing media content related to political, social, and cultural issues, with a particular focus on fostering intercultural dialogue.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature
    • Master’s Degree in Arabic Studies – Islamic University of Minnesota
    • Currently pursuing a PhD in Media and Communication, specializing in Global and International Communication, and preparing to defend her dissertation soon
  • Media Achievements
    • 2005: Founded Radio Voice of Arabs in America, the first national Arab-American radio station broadcasting in both Arabic and English, serving as a bridge between Arab and American cultures.
    • Since 2016, Al-Husaini has been hosting international delegations in Detroit in coordination with the U.S. Department of State, engaging in discussions on U.S. foreign policy, the state of Arab media in the United States, and American culture—while strengthening cooperation with journalists at both local and global levels and creating a platform for knowledge exchange.
