Dr. Anas Al-Fattal
Assistant Professor of Marketing – University of Minnesota Crookston
Dr. Anas Al-Fattal is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Minnesota Crookston and is currently on the academic promotion track. He began his academic career in Damascus and earned his PhD in Educational Marketing from the University of Leeds (UK), where his research focused on the interaction between students’ choices and institutional marketing in higher education.
Dr. Al-Fattal has over twenty years of international academic and administrative experience. He has taught in Syria, Oman, the United Kingdom, and the United States, providing him with a diverse global perspective on education and research.
His research interests include educational marketing, consumer behavior, cryptocurrencies, entrepreneurship, and the integration of artificial intelligence in higher education, with a particular focus on behavioral insights and community engagement. At the University of Minnesota, he leads community-based student research projects and contributes to curriculum development and the building of effective partnerships between the university and the community, driven by his belief that education should be responsive, inclusive, and impactful.
